100% Gewürztraminer grapes, harvested by hand from vineyards of the northern Golan Heights and the Upper Galilee. Characterized by flavors of apricot, pineapple, lychee and grapefruit. Rich, complex and full finish.A semi-dry varietal with strong acidity, expressing the unique aromatic flavors of the Gewürztraminer variety of the northern Golan.
An aromatic wine to accompany an entire meal, or as an aperitif or dessert wine.
The 2008 Gewurztraminer features, for the first time in Israel, a glass stopper that resembles a decanter top. We are the only Israeli winery to use the “Vino Lock” glass cap system. This German invention, a glass cap is convenient, esthetical and ecological and is imported to Israel by Pelter Winery.
Vineyards:
Safsufa – Upper Galilee – Terra Rossa/basaltic soil
Vineyard of the wind – Northern Golan – Basaltic tuff soil
Production:
Fermentation for approximately 4 weeks at temperatures of 12.5 to 13 degrees.
After racking – Cold and heat stabilization and filtering at a level of 0.45 microns before bottling.
Total of 3 months in a steel container.
Bottling:
Second week of February 2009
