Svendborg Denmark Food And Wine Fair

This year, as in 2010, our winery will  participant and present our wines at the Food and Wine Fair (Fodevaremarked) which will take place in Svendborg, Denmark on the 25th and 26th of June 2011. This annual fair, the largest of its kind in Denmark, is located in the port section of Svendborg on the island of Fyn.

Silver & Bronze Medals

For the first time, our winery participated in the San Francisco International Wine Competition held during June 2010. Celebrating the competitions 30th year of awarding wine excellence, the competition continues to be one of the biggest and most prestigious international competitions in the United States.

This year over 3900 wines competed from 28 states and 27 countries, more than ever before.

The two Pelter Winery entries won recognition and awards: The Pelter 2008 Trio won a Silver Medal in the Premium Bordeaux Blend category and the Pelter 2007 Cabernet/Shiraz won a Bronze Medal in the Cab/Shiraz Category.

Pelter Winery Wines Tasting

The lifestyle periodical "Wine Spectator" focuses on fine wines and wine culture. It is considered one of the main authorities in the world of wines and wines reviewed by the journal, are considered amongst the world's most outstanding. Five Pelter wines were recently tasted and reviewed in the December 2009 edition of the journal. All were awarded high marks and described in very positive tasting notes.
